(NASDAQ: FARO), the world's most trusted provider of 3D measurement, imaging, and implementation Technologies, announced the launch of a new designed PointSense for Autodesk's Revit® architecture design software.PointSense introduces groundbreaking features that significantly improve evaluation and the transformation of point cloud data into building Information Modeling (BIM).

While BIM has become the standard for planning, building and new facility management, Autodesk Revit® is one of the most sophisticated BIM programs for the AEC (Construction, Engineering and Construction) industry.The release of FARO's latest software directly accelerates and simplifies the analysis and design of laser-scanned data in Autodesk Revit®.

PointSense users will experience additional features compared to the traditional, original Autodesk Revit® tools on the market.Some of the new features include extracting and correcting building walls, creating existing types of Revit® such as doors, Windows, and beams, constructing line segments and ground models, capturing real THREE-DIMENSIONAL point clouds, planar detection, and generating scaled down orthographies.
